The Lone Window Project
Grays Hall, April 28 2013
Waiting was created by the members of The Lone Window Project, and was funded in part by the 2013 Emerging Choreographers Series at the Harvard Dance Program. We were interested in using the medium of perform to make often private experiences public.
Waiting took over the basement of a building and turned various rooms into different locations, namely a person's bedroom, the waiting room of mental health services, and a nameless public space. In the bedroom, the audience witnessed dancers deal with anxiety and weight loss issues, in the waiting room, they experienced the awkward sensation of having their name called out loud in public to be shuffled off to a random room, and in the public space they watched dancers deal with agoraphobia.
